Representing time through the language of wood was the central challenge of this piece. Drawing from the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi — the acceptance of impermanence and imperfection — this timepiece is a meditation on the landscape rather than the hour.
Thin sheets of contrasting hardwood are carved and chiselled into mountain contours, with epoxy resin and natural sand filling the valleys to complete the scene. The result is something that reads as sculpture first, clock second.
Each piece is unique. The layering of wood, the pour of epoxy, the scatter of sand — no two will ever be identical. That is the point.

Care & Maintenance
- Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid damp cloths near the epoxy.
- Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent wood tone shift over time.
- Battery replacement: standard AA, accessible from the rear.
- Do not use chemical cleaners on the wood surface.
